I came across this amazing Albatross sketch the other day by Donny Nguyen when I was researching The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Visit his blog at [ donny draws ]. This is exactly the reason why I started this blog – so that whatever I find interesting, I don’t have to forget.
Here’s another sketch he made of one of the most awesome bands everrrr…. Crystal Castles!
His drawings are evidently oozing of talent. As in the words of Rachel Zoe, “I love.”
Pen and ink are amazing mediums and two of my favorites to experience. And Harry Clarke shows off their assets to the fullest. His illustrations have a consistent gothic quality which makes them so facinating. I really want a tattoo by him, just don’t know what it will be. They’re all beautiful.
My brother is featured on the Apple website for creating an HP-esque commercial for the Obama Time Capsule. Check it here or on the Apple website.
Here is the finished video:
That’s my brother in the blue shirt doing all the arm movements! And his narration on the original video.

This new musical is based on the life of Fela Kuti. From Wikipedia:

The show covers Fela’s life in music, politics, and death.

I don’t know this band, Bat for Lashes, or really care. Or even know how I got on the website. All I wanna know is….. where did she get that outfit??? It’s kind of awesome. Where? Where! Where!?

Christian Louboutin is styling Barbie for the Designer Series. I don’t know about you, but I used to collect the collectible Barbies with my mother, spending $250+, without a thought. I think it’s time to delve into our bad habits once again. And what could be better than spending money on a pair of plastic Louboutins? The Louboutin Barbie is very very limited. Only 7,700 being sold of the Jewelry Thief Barbie. All Barbies should be around $150.00.
Christian Louboutin gives ‘fat legged’ Barbie a ‘slimmer’ makover! (okay, this is ridiculous!)
