OK. This is a costume that I’ve always wanted to try – a creepy dead zombie nurse from the movie, Silent Hill. I never played the game but it looks like the movie version is creepier. The second pic is just cosplay. I know! Amazing, right?
There are so many tutorials out there on how to make the dress, mask, make up, and added tips to make it look extra creepy. Really – I don’t think it would cost too much to make everything, maybe $50 if you shop smart.
The Max Onesie from Where the Wild Things Are is probably going to be a very popular costume this year with the release of the movie. I’m currently sewing a homemade version of the costume for my boyfriend. This will be the biggest sewing project I’m undertaking and one of a few that I will actually finish. If y’all don’t sew or are too lazy or have the money…. here are some great options.
Max Costume from Opening Ceremony: $610. – Sold Out -, I guess the price tag did nothing to deter the hipsters.
K.W. Boxy Fur Coat from Opening Ceremony: $575. Loving it!

Here is a list of items needed for the Max costume if you want to undertake this yourself. All are cheaper alternatives.
I was shopping around on Monday at H&M hoping to find some inspiring pieces for a costume. My trip paid off because I came up with an ingenious plan for a really cheap costume.
I found this amazing black faux fur dress for $49.99 that goes down to the knee.
Now, just pair this dress with a simple plastic bear mask like this one:
Looks kinda kooky, right? Trust me, it’ll look awesome. All it needs now is a pair of sheer black stockings and sexy black heels. And maybe even a long cigarette holder.
The dress comes in white and gray. Here’s a picture of the gray dress:
I was shopping around for Victorian Corsets for my Mad Hatter Costume when I found this:
Ok, it’s not exactly Mad Hatter-ish, but I’ll tell you what -ishness it is…. It remind’s me of a Victorian or gothic vampire-ish feel. I love this corset so much so that I’m thinking of possibly getting these along with it:
I’ve always wanted to be the Mad Hatter for Halloween but never had the chance. As you know… packaged costumes are of B-A-D quality. I came across this costume by deliciousmalicious which gave me ideas:
It’s a skirt, shirt, and corset combo as she points out. I love her tights and the serrated knife adds a great touch of twisted-ness. Okay, I’m totally sold.
It was either the Mad Hatter or Kristen Stewart giving bad interviews. Kristen Stewart, you don’t make it easy to sound so… . . . Ok I can’t think of a nicer word than ‘retarded.’ Can ‘strange’ possibly suffice? Ok, that was mean. Sorry…
I’m looking for Halloween costume ideas and I found this. Kind of a mismatch don’t you think? And why is she/he holding their crotch? She/he makes me want to pee.
If anyone’s got the body to pull this off, more power to her. I wouldn’t want to be mistaken for James Earl Jones, though.
